Along with your profile, your mission application first thing that a Member sees and their first impression of your skills, passion and personality. So how do a great mission application? Well, buckle in, because we are here to help!

To start off with, here's what longtime Hero, Tarryn Myburgh, has to say about mission applications:

Grammar

Firstly, make sure that you double-check your grammar and spelling! It’s the easiest way to show your professionalism.

About Me

Explain why you think you are a good match for an application, and why the mission stood out. Remember that this message is your job application! But don’t forget, we are also people after all. We are are all looking for human connections, so don’t be afraid to add a personal touch.

Availability

Confirm that you are available the date and time needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications are very important as a lot of Members are looking for specific experience. Whether it is an experience or a skill, make sure you mention this in your mission application.

Communication

Make sure you address any questions the member might have in your messages and have a conversation about how you can work together to achieve their goals. Try to respond in a timely manner and don’t leave members waiting days on end for answers.
